Frederick comes in and tries to break even

Last night Paul and I are just sitting in the livingroom, all of a sudden a huge loud knock on the window! We look out the blinds and what do we see? FREDERICK! (That's our neighbour) So we let him in, seems a little obvious to say that but sometime we don't let him in and we hide, but he know this already.

He comes in and sees my Indiana Jones Fruit Machine. It's a real full size and working arcade machine, I should mention that I don't like Indiana Jones the movie but I sure do like his arcade machine, it's a good thing to have around because when drunk people come in your house they put all their money in it!

Anyway he puts a total of 60p in the machine for 12 plays and he gets exactly 60p back! We are all in shock becuase no one ever breaks even with this machine! So Frederick was very pround of himself and decided to try it again. He puts in £1. He puts in another £1. I think he ends up putting somewhere in the region of £4-£5 in it trying to get the exact same back (he didn't even want to win he just wanted the exact same back but in different coins). Needless to say he did not break even and he put all his money in the machine............which is real nice for me 'cos I get to keep the money.

There he is trying to break even. You can also see my shoulder.

Playing Poker with Frederick

Yep, Paul and I had to explain to him how to play hold 'em. Every time he wanted to check he would say, "I flop"!

I think the photo says it all.

Oh yes right there on the table beside me is a joke present from Paul, the Raymer glasses.

Christmas!

Actually Boxing Day today but I'll tell you about yesterday.

Presents of note that I got:
  • Poker Table (YAY! Is not just for me, but to share between me and Paul)
  • Miniature bottle of champagne (Paul got me this and I made him pretend with me that WWII had just ended and we had to celebrate!)
  • Wynton Marsalis and Duke Ellington CDs
  • Cary Grant framed photo (Which is broken...I opened it up and glass went everywhere!)
  • Harry Connick Jr's 1992 New York Big Band Concert on DVD
  • Steve Martin comedy album! (Paul got me this too)
  • Poker set with chips and cards (Dad got me this, little did he know I just bought a bunch of chips)
  • A great book called Movie Star Portraits of the Forties
  • Feather Boa and sparkly hat (Leonnie got me these!)
  • Pocket watch (this was Paul's work, he knows how I like to act like an old posh rich man. "Bring the car around Jeeves, I'll meet you out back! Pip pip old chap!"
We had a great dinner, it was this weird chicken you buy with stuffing already in it, it was good.

I also got a very nice red coat that looks very 1940s, I will surely wear it, get a photo and put it up on here sometime soon.

BPT Final

Just a quick note to say good luck to all the people playing in the Grand Final of BPT! I'm gonna go get something to eat and drink then I'm coming straight back up here to watch the final.

22 December, Almost Christmas!

So I woke up today at about 2pm, got up and watched Santa Claus the Movie, the one with Dudley Moore and John Lithgow......and man I hate those children! They are so annoying! Also I cannot wait til they start that whole "Christmas 2".

Leonnie came over at 6 and we swapped presents but no opening til Christmas Day!

Went into a cash game and lost a bunch then left and went into a PL cash game and made a bunch back, so I'm happy with that.

Right now I'm trying to write this blog but Bud is telling me that I look like Ice T. This is not the first time he has told me this! He's always saying it! Yes......Bud is weird. I'll leave it there now.....going to watch the rest of Law & Order SVU.

Good Photo

I like this one

Hat

This is the first hat I've ever gotten that actually fits! It's a real good feeling when you get a hat that fits exactly.

Another Photo

If you look in the background you can see my map of Italy on the wall. Hanging from the door to the right of the photo is the Mask, from.....the Mask.

Betty Grable Eat Your Heart Out!

I watched the Betty Grable biography last night, Paul asked how come all the biographies I watch have a sad ending. I told him cos all the really cool people are dead! Well, except for Bud and Crew that is.

Reading

This is me acting like I got the book smarts. Yes, those are sunglasses I'm wearing and yes, I cannot see the page through them.

BPT, Sheet Music, Boxing, Christmas, Army

  • Firstly I'd like to say congratulations and good luck to everyone who reached the Grand Final of BPT!
  • What else? I just bought some sheet music. I think I might be addicted to sheet music actually. I got "Put The Blame On Mame" from the movie Gilda with Rita Hayworth and Glenn Ford, which is a fantastic movie! I recommend it to everyone, it's just great! Go watch it! Go watch it now! I got another 2 sheet musics aswell.
  • I don't know if anyone knows but I like boxing too. And yesterday Bud told me that Prince Naseem is really fat now, I was very shocked and I didn't believe him! I still don't, so I'm going to have to go find out about it in a minute, I'll get back to you with the results.
  • I've bought all the Christmas presents I need to buy for people now, just waiting on one to arrive. Wrapped a bunch too.
  • I meant to write this ages ago when it was my birthday but I forgot so I'm writing it now. Does anyone else get happy birthday cards from the army? Because for the last 2 years I've gotten cards! Maybe they're hoping I'll enlist..........the answer is no.....I'm far too pretty to go to war ;)

BPT

No, 8th place wasn't enough. I'm 27 in the overall leaderboard, so oh well. But you got to admit, 2 consecutive final tables is pretty good. Oh well...

BPT event 7!

Just got busted. Finished 8th. If I've worked it out correctly I should have about 484 points total. Hope that's enough for the Grand 20, which incidentally has 20 people in it!

Thursday, December 14, 2006

Hey there!

Man. I have to get up at like 8 tomorrow! Nooooo! Have to go to the bank pretty early, they're charging me £60 for something or other, so Dad is taking me and he's going to shout at them. He's very good at shouting at people....not as good as Nanny but she takes it too far! Paul knows. When he got fired Nanny wanted to go shout at them!

Anyhow, probably play some poker when I get back from the town. I don't think Leonnie is coming over tomorrow, think she's got to go buy presents.

Saturday! BPT! I think I have to get at least in the top 10 of this event to go onto the Grand 20. I've already asked Paul to try and get me some Lucozade tablets to keep my energy up. All that glucose makes me hyper and I think a lot funnier so that should be nice for Paul, he'll get entertained while watching me play.

Another photo and BPT event 7

Needless to say I am very happy that it's going to be hold'em because now I actually stand a good chance of moving up quite a bit in the leaderboard!

Friday

Hey All!

Leonnie came over today so we filmed a whole bunch of stuff before chips arrived then we watched a bunch of stuff we filmed last year. We were watching one particular part that Paul had slowed down, we were playing a game I made up called "Beanie", (by the way so you're not confused - People in the house - Me, Paul and Leonnie. So we were watching this one part and Leonnie could not stop laughing! She was literally having a fit! She couldn't move her neck she kept saying....meanwhile I'm laughing my head off because I have no idea why she is laughing so much and Paul is sitting watching us, very confused. She eventually stopped laughing after about 5-10 minutes. Then a few minutes later she started again! Apparently she thought of the slow motion again. Anyway it was hilarious!

Also, while watching the beanie game we realized that Leonnie was Beanie Champion 2005. So we all decided to play Beanie to see who was the 2006 champion. We played for about 15 minutes (the game is basically throw this little weird white ball and the other person hits it, either with a roll of wrapping paper or with their hands, this one was the wrapping paper.) Results of Beanie Game - Laura and Leonnie are tied Beanie Champions 2006! Paul didn't play.

Here we are after winning. We look a little weird, the light is right above us.

Request

I was reading beerguys blog and he requested I post another photo or talk about the Phil Hellmuth book I was reading so I have decided to do both!

The photo below was taken yesterday after I played too much online poker! I've given myself a rest today and haven't played any at all.

Omaha Hi Lo chapter of the Phil Hellmuth book - Phil says never underestimate the importance of A-2 among your starting hands and some professionals find it more important than starting with A-A. The reason being that the majority of low boards require that you have A-2 in your hand to make the nut low. That's all I'm saying today....I don't want to give too much away and reveal my complete strategy for the 16th! Yes, that's right! I have a strategy!

A Few Things

  1. Thank you all for the comments.
  2. Just played in a tournament 1,500 people, finished 52nd.
  3. I know that the next BPT event is Omaha HiLo, so last night before I went to sleep I read the Omaha HiLo chapter of my Phil Hellmuth book, I think I have a pretty good grasp on the basics now.
  4. I'll need to go have number 5 from my advent calender now, haven't had it yet.
  5. I think Leonnie's coming over on Friday, so to Leonnie - Paul is going to make us work! No! I hope we get to eat first...
  6. 20 days til Xmas!

BPT Event 6

So anyone who doesn't know, I've signed up to the Blogger Poker Tour, which is a series of 7 events, each with a prize pool of $500, plus you get points on the basis of the position you went out of each tournament, ie if you go out first you get 1 point, go out second you get 2 points and so on. There's a leader board and the people with most points after all these events play for the grand prize of a seat at the Aussie Millions!

I like this whole idea of awarding points, it reminds me of Poker Superstars. Well, anyway, I've just signed up and they were already at event 6 so there's probably no way I'll get to the final table for a shot at the Aussie Millions, but I shall try none the less.

Event 6 - I finished 2nd! Yes that's right! $100!!! Once again if you need proof, here it is - Click
I was going to blog all about it but then I realized someone else is doing all the hard work! So if you really want to know all the main hands etc, go to this guy's blog - Click
I just want to explain one thing, the very last hands, heads up, the guy raises the minimum, so I figure maybe he's just getting frisky maybe trying to steal so that's why I raised all in with QT which isn't such a bad hands when you're heads up. It's just bad luck that I ran into pocket aces.

I think that's all for today. Except to say one thing.......I won $100! YAY!

Playing Holdem

Leonnie on the left, me on the right, Paul behind the camera. It seems you will never get to see Paul.....or will you? Maybe I'll take a sneaky picture of him and post it before he gets to delete it!

Photo from a while ago

Not so long ago, but it was when Paul was still at work. Me on the left, Leonnie on the right and please do not ask why we are sitting in the dark on my kitchen floor.....it's a long story....and not a very interesting one.

Charity Tournament

Started at 9pm went until 11.30pm which isn't too long compared to some other tournaments I've been in. I made it to the final table and finished 9th, won $3.90.

One hand I had pocket aces, flop comes 3TT, so pretty good for me, I make it 300 to go and one guy calls me so I'm thinking maybe he's paired the three or maybe he just thinks I'm bluffing probably has ace high. Turn is something like 6h, I check it to be safe, he checks too, so I figure I probably have the best hand then. River is Js. I bet 600 and guy goes all in, it's only about 150 more so I call and the guy turns over pocket tens, man it is not a good feeling when you're pocket aces are beaten by quad tens!

I made a lot of great lay downs today too, I folded pocket 7's and the guy had JJ. I folded my QT suited when the flop came T82, the guy had KT so I am so glad I got away from that one!

Knocked out when I went all in with 66, what can I say? I was major short stack. Get called and they turn over A9 off. Flop was nothing big, neither was the turn but guy sucked out and caught a 9 on the river so oh well.

I think the charity got something like $130 because of all the people that used up all their re-buys. Oh and by the way I didn't rebuy! Not once! Although I did add-on 1,500...

Hey all

I am playing in a charity poker tournament later this week, infact I think it's on Friday. It's for the Make A Wish Foundation, which you all know is the charity that grants wishes to kids with life threatening medical conditions.

I pay the buy in and half goes to Make a Wish, the other half to the prize pool. Come watch if you can.

That's all for now, I'll let you know how the tournament goes.

A Little Different Today

I'm going to blog my usual stuff but in the form of a poem this time, so unlike my other poems which have no real meaning, this one shall.

Yesterday Leonnie came over for the day
We all played Cluedo for most of her stay
And when we tried to figure it out
I can tell you everyone was in doubt!
For one simple reason and that reason being....

The inspector told us that not any of us had done it
Then Paul read us an inspectors note that announced we HAD done it
As we crossed off mustard, and we crossed of Green
I wrote in my notes "Rusty did it!" then found it had not been
Rusty I mean

The truth is that Paul
Yes, that's right Paul
Had misread
While eating bread

So to him, I simply say
On behalf of the Crew
"Goddamnit Bud!"

We were all so confused
We even mused
that the the inspector
might be lying

So to you all I say
Read real carefully
When playing Cluedo DVD Version

Came 4th in another $50 freeroll

Click here for proof. My name is lauradm on poker.com incase you didn't already know. And once again I got another person rooting for me, I think the name was bembolino. Anyway, it's 2am so I'm off to bed now. Goodnight all.

I won a $50 Freeroll!!!

YAY! I just won a $50 freeroll online! Here's the proof http://www.poker.com/results/index.html?id=4012356-15

Hehe! I'm so hyped up right now so I'll not tell you everything that happened, I'll probably come on later and tell you about the hands............Yay!!!

Oh and I would just like to say thank you to Slickoldlady who said to me about halfway through the tournament when she got knocked out, quote, "Come on Laura win!". And I did.

Just came on to say one thing

Just quickly, I want to tell you what happened. Okay. I just joined a cash game about 3 minutes ago, go in with $6 once again. First hand I get is AA and my plan was to just check but this guy raises it to 40c (the blinds are 5c/10c) and so I re-raise him to $1.20, the guy goes all in, so obviously I go all in too. He turns over QQ and I turn over my AA, flop is J23, turn 5, river 8. So I double up and take all that guys money! Yay! Then I got out the game right there, did a hit and run, I would've stayed if it wasn't online, but Phil Hellmuth says it's okay to do a hit and run on the internet, so YAY!

Another photo of me

Photograph

The reason I look so shocked is because brother Paul told me to pretend I could see a dinosaur....I don't know why.....oh and he isn't a monk, he is actually my brother, oh and I don't mean Mr Monk, that would be me......I'm way off track now

One of my packages arrived!

Here it is, the dress I was awaiting. This is the only photo I could find that shows the whole dress...you can't really see but it goes all the way to my feet. And I didn't know Paul took this photo so PAUL! Don't take photos til I says so! Anyhow, the dress is black net kind of thing over pink and it's all sparkly too! I like it, it looks very 40's

The Da Vinci Code

I watched the Da Vinci Code a few days ago for the first time. There is a lot of things I would like to say about it but wont because it will be the longest and most complaint ridden blog I've ever written...so I'll say one thing about it. I was wondering about the people who actually like Leonardo DaVinci paintings, do they like the DaVinci Code? If it truly is all just a code, does it not detract from the artistic value? Is it worth no more then than a crumpled note at a dead letterbox?

Hey Kids!

Yesterday I went into another cash game (I apologize, this seems to be turning into a poker blog!) went in with $6 again and came out with something like $10.45. Later Paul went to bed about midnight and so I had nothing to do and went into another cash game, $6 again. First off I was kinda tired which we all know is not a good way to play poker, got down to $4 then got a burst of caffeine from the can of coke I opened! Went up to $5.50 then eventually left the table with $7.15. So no money lost yesterday, that about 7 or 8 games in a row I've came out on top!

What else? Hmm......I'm waiting on 4 packages I ordered to get here, hold on, that sounds dodgy...let me elaborate on that, I'm waiting on 2 dvds and 2 dresses to be delivered. I hope at least one gets here tomorrow 'cos I been waitin' ages for a few of them!

Does everybody know what time it is?! Photo time! That's right, Laura tools is proud to present........nevermind, I've been watching a lot of Home Improvement. And by the way, all though it's not good to play poker when tired it is very good to watch Home Improvement when tired! Everything becomes much more hilarious! Anyhow.....here's a photo.....of me!

I think I'm whistling, that's why my face is in that weird position.

Oi! I just spell checked my blog! And guess what! Blogger.com Spellchecker does not know the word blog!!!!!

Monday, October 23, 2006

Good day all!

Played some poker online today. Cash game, that is. Went to the 5/10c table and took $6 in with me. Did quite well, won a hand, won a bluff, then lost some when I made a bad call. All in all I left the table with $6.02. I know, I know, I'm only up 2c which is better than losing 2c I think you'll agree. But anyhow, let me just add in here that I'm usually up more than that when I leave a table.

So that's really all I've done today, later I'll probably play my keyboard, I bought some new sheet music on Friday! "I'm Old Fashioned", you know the one, Fred Astaire and Rita Hayworth in "You Were Never Lovelier", okay maybe you don't know the one, but believe me it's good.

Right now I'm watching a documentary on Henry Winkler, ooh it just finished, disregard this sentence.

Probably watch a film noir before I go to bed, that's what usually happens. Paul will be up the back on the computer playing a cash game and I'll be down the front watching an old movie. Every so often I'll make a comment about the movie and Paul will have no idea what I'm talking about.

Oh! Now it's time for me to advertise!
1. I'm selling some stuff on Ebay. Click Here
2. If you're looking to join a poker website there is a great one called Poker.com. It's the one I go to, it's really good, there are freerolls every 2 hours and you can win REAL money! Plus I think you get 100% bonus on your first deposit, which is damn good. If you want to join go Click Here if you go to that link it also means that I get a bonus too! Come on, make a D happy! Maybe you'll get to play against me and maybe I can take all that 100% bonus of yours!

Halloween Poem

How do you write a poem about Halloween?
Maybe my coffee needs more caffeine
to come up with ideas for Halloween
Unlucky thirteen, getting a vaccine are both very scary
But still I find it necessary
to come up with a scarier and scarier idea
Here's one - nuclear bombs in North Korea
Oh my, I think I'm getting political
and maybe much too analytical
of my own stupid poems

Photograph!

What can I say? I like black and white

Photo of me, that's right

I was told my hair was like a lion's mane in that photo, all I could think was "hope he means Scar, he was the coolest of all lions, too bad he didn't get to be king". For some reason out of all the disney movies I always end up liking the bad guy, I can't help it, they're just cooler, all of them except in Aristocats...ofcourse I was rooting for the cats, they played Jazz! Those hep cats were smokin' man. Gotta split!

A very poetic story

Walking around my house I noticed a strange feeling in the air
How was I to know it was Leonnie standing over there?
I walked to Leonnie and I walked to Bud
Luckily they were standing together or I would've split in half
I rested an arm on the wall and asked if they wanted to play Cluedo
Bud said, "Hey, now, Laura that's real low"
He reminded me that we had to do a show

30 seconds later those tasty, tasty chips arrived
From a car that to my door drived
Bud opened the chips and what did I see but multiple pickles
Needless to say Leonnie and I laughed like we was being tickled
Bud refused his intake of pickles so what could we do but what we did?
Leonnie and I ate all the pickles even though Paul, I mean Bud, did forbid

Oops! Another photo, it seems I found another

Alright, found one. This was from 2 weeks ago I think but at least it's still of me and Leonnie so maybe you can just imagine this is what we looked like yesterday. Again Leonnie on the left, me on the right.....hmm it seems Leonnie's always on the left and I'm always on the right.....oh well, why mess with what works? In between us is a pic'n'mix! Oh yeah! I remember when you had to weigh the pic'n'mix before you bought it and now Leonnie tells me all you have to do is fill it to the top. How times have changed.

Also, should probably have wrote this in the last post but nevermind - I noticed yesterday a lot of similarities between poker and Cluedo for instance, the deception, a lot of the time in Cluedo as with poker you have to deceive people and purposely (in cluedo) not show certain people certain cards (I like to call it hoarding!). Sometimes deceiving people by what you say helps too, for instance yesterday everyone kept asking and where the hell Mrs White was and so I joined in and started accusing Paul of hoarding her, ofcourse I was the one with Mrs White, but nobody else knew that. Maybe my theory is correct or maybe I'm just trying to make Cluedo a little more cool.

Picture I promised you

Here, it's the only one I can find from yesterday. Leonnie on the left and me on the right, this is us setting up for Cluedo DVD Version, right there leonnie is choosing which pen she would like....tough decision.

P.S. Paul was hoarding Miss Scarlett!!!

Another photo - Laura D McBryde - that's my name, just you try and wear it out!

Indeed

Hey all!

Just sitting here thought I'd drop you all a line.....infact scratch that, it doesn't make sense - I've been reading a lot of Dashiell Hammett. Anyhow, sitting here with a can of coke and a Wonka Bar.

Leonnie came over today, we played Cluedo - Leonnie won! Good chips today also. Will post pictures and what not tomorrow.

Hold on going to open my Wonka Bar..........................hey! What the.............hold on there's something in my Wonka Bar.......................*GASP!!!!!!* AAAAAAAAAAH!!!!!!! It's a golden ticket!!!!!!! Wow, I never thought my life would be anything but catastrophe but suddenly something something something cos I've got a golden ticket! It's ours Charlie! I've got a.........WAIT!!! NO!!! It's not ours Charlie! It's MINE! I'VE got a golden ticket, not YOU! Yay! I get to go to my own factory!

Got to go now people the factory awaits. Here's the proof

Old Timey Sweet Shop

Another photo from today. BUD took the photo! Happy Bud? He also made it all that cowboy way. I think it looks like a photo you would see up in the corner of a website that sells old timey sweets. What do you think?

New Dress!

Got a new dress and here's a picture of me wearing it, this is actually me today so if you ever wanted to know what I look like when I'm writing this jibberish now you know! I really like that tie thing at the back.

Friday Free Roll

On Friday I played a Free Roll online, Texas Hold'em that is. Started out with 1,500 chips and my plan was just to stay out the way for a while and wait for the other players to make the bad moves and get themselves put out, which works.....for a while. 1000 players started and now we were at a break - around 400 players left now and I was down to 305 chips after a bad beat I think with trip Queens. I knew that once the break was over I had to go all in pretty soon to double up to something decent.

Break is over, I get dealt Q9 suited so I put it all in. Not sure how many people called but anyway the flop comes something like 4 9 10, turn is another 10, the river is something like a King and I win with 10's and 9's. So I double up to something very nice. Few hands later I get the nut flush and the guy keeps raising so I go all in again and ofcourse win and get to around 2000 chips. The very next hand I get AA. Flop is A J 5, turn is another J, so now I have a full house and again these maniac internet players keep raising so I keep raising back, needless to say I win and get to 6000 chips!

Places get paid up to the top 100 players. I get placed 49th! Which means I win a lot more than the people at 100 - 50 but less then the places above that, I hope I haven't confused you. Anyway I win £3! Not much since it's a free roll, but a well earned £3.

Below is me after the 3 hours of play. Did I mention the tournament started at midnight? I'm pretty tired right there but pretty happy too.

Looking over my blog

I was just looking ovre my blog and a few things popped into my mind:

1. Just remembered Fredrick owes me a McDonalds because I guessed correctly which garage was his! Unlikely that I'll get that though since he seems to have mysteriously disappeared since that day...

2. I need to blog more

Below is a picture in which I think I look very cool. But unfortunately now I have to be very uncool and tell you all the truth - tell you all that it infact is a magic wand I am holding in my hand there.

Forced to go in Fredrick's car

That's right, you read correctly and here's the proof....

Paul was there as well, in front seat and Fredrick was driving. I was in the back - Fredrick had the radio turned up to the extreme - so I would mumble to myself in the back and no one would hear me.

P.S. It is scary to be in a car when Fredrick is driving

Weird cool thing going on with my hair there.

Where the hell did this photo come from? I didn't see this before

No Limit Texas Hold 'Em Poster

Look what Paul made! It's the official No Limit Texas Hold 'Em Poker Tournament of Strachur Poster!

I think it's very cool

Texas Hold 'Em Poker in Strachur

Luckily I took my cards and poker chips with me so we got to play Texas Hold 'Em Poker, which is currently my favourite game, whether playing it for real, playing it on the internet or watching High Stakes Poker and all those other Tournament poker shows. But as we all know playing it for real is best.

As you can see from the picture my strategy was to first beat all the children, then later everyone played - adults and children!

How weird I just looked at this picture and it was taken at 1.37pm that means we started playing poker about 2 hours after we arrived.

The photo depicts me on the left, Cherlyn in back and some red, green and white poker chips in the front ground. Nice photo Paul.

Look At The Size Of That Pot

Don't remember who won it

Stack 'Em High

I'm teaching the boy how to stack 'em high

Good Game

In this game I had a full house, kings over fives, went all in and so did 2 others, I won, knocking it down to 2 people. I think it was me and Joe left. So to finish off the game we thought we'd go all in before any cards were delt. Lucky for me I got pocket Aces straight away.

Final Results

Not a particularly nice photo of me but look at all the chips I won.

Final Results
10 Games Played

Paul 3
Joe 2
Laura 5

Crossword

Let me just tell you something - in Strachur there is nothing to do and I mean NOTHING, there is no technology which means no computer, no anything else and TV with only 4 channels. So one night we had nothing to do and we did a crossword. The following is a summary of what happened during that crossword....which was not much.

Ofcourse we did other things too but I'll tell you about those things in other posts other days.....including my favourite thing......Texas Hold 'em....Oh yeah

Strachur

Hello. I was on holiday! It was at Strachur, in a house owned by the person Nanny works for. It is right beside the beach and has a post office that sells chips and stamps.

We went on Monday morning, which wasn't very nice - I don't like getting up early, we went in Nanny's car which had me, Paul, Leonnie and Nanny in it. Other people who went in another car - Gillian (my aunt and Leonnie's mum), Joe (my uncle and Leonnie's dad), Gavin (cousin and Leonnie's brother), Cherlyn (cousin and same to Leonnie) and Bart otherwise known as Scampo (Leonnie's dog). I tell you all this now so that later when I blog other things about Strachur you know who I'm talking about.

Here is a photo of Strachur, the only one I can find, of the house at night, the night we left, you can't really see it all but that's basically it - a livingroom, conservatory, kitchen, hall, very steep stairs, 4 bedrooms and 2 toilets!

Writing Points

You see we had to control the children somehow, so we came up with the points system which worked quite well, they would get us juice and other things if we gave them points. It came about quite by accident, I told Gavin (my cousin, Leonnie's brother) that I would give him 5 points to stop singing....and he did.

This photo is me writing out the points list.

Also, this was Paul's room.

Outside

This is me just outside the house and hey look there's Paul's finger in shot! I think Leonnie was sleeping on the couch at this point.

Relaxing

This is us in the conservatory, it was very hot in there.

Beach Photo

This was just down from the house. Me in the background and Leonnie in front taking a photo with her phone, Paul took this photo as he did with most of the photos.

Read This Post Before You Scroll Down

A few days ago I wanted to see how cool I could look, so I got my fedora, my waistcoat, my silk white tie and all my other cool things and wore them all together. Below are 3 pictures of me that day. Have to say.....I'm pretty cool....

Picture From The New Movie

I don't know what it is called yet, but here we are in a scene somewhere near the middle of the movie being frustrated. Leonnie on the left, me on the right.

That is all I shall say.....it is all very top secret......not really, I just don't remember what it's about. Give me a break it was weeks ago we filmed.

Playing Cluedo A While Ago

There's Leonnie. If you look to the right bottom corner and up a bit you can see my foot. Paul took the picture.

Uh oh, it seems all my posts are about Cluedo DVD Version. Oh well. It's so cool it deserves many posts.

No One Knows What To Blog

Hello Everybody,

Something I want to write about today, I can't think of anything to blog, ever. Now I know there are things that happen that I can blog but whenever I come up here to blog them I can never think of what they are.

I have decided to blog about the the fact that I can't think of anything to blog. I was sitting here wondering if anyone else has this problem, it turns out yes they do. I wrote in Google the words "What should I blog?" in inverted commas. 577 other people are wondering what they should blog.

Then I wrote "I don't know what to blog" - 372 results.

Then "I can't think of anything to blog" - 264 results.

It seems I am not alone. No one can think of what they should be blogging. So I am now asking you, if you have the same problem, to post a comment to show our support for one another! For we are the ones who cannot think of anything to blog!

Or if you can think of stuff to blog then help us! We need the help! Please post a comment and tell us what to blog, give us some ideas please. We cannot sit forever with a blank piece of paper in front of us with the word IDEAS at the top.

I think that's all now because I cannot think of anything else to blog.

Checking In

Hello there,

Not posted in ages. My computer was broken for 2 weeks, hated it. No computer equals sad Laura D. I think that's all I have to say.

Here's a picture of me "thinking"...
